Button Head Seal Screws

In stock In production

Seal screws are a type of fastener designed with an o-ring to provide secure bi-directional protection against contaminates such as gases and fluids in various applications, minimising the risk of damage to sensitive equipment. They prevent the entry of water, dust, or other contaminants, ensuring a secure, reliable connection.

Seal screws are used in threaded and non-threaded holes in applications such as cabinets or used in the automotive and electric industries.

This range of Seal Screws features a button head with a hexagonal drive. Hexagonal drives are ideal for precision assembly and are used where less surface area is available. They are made from Stainless Steel that provides good resistance to corrosion and is slightly magnetic.

Please note: Our seal screws are designed for use in applications where sealing properties are required. It could be confused with standard fasteners, these do not require sealing properties and with an O-ring you will not get a sealing property like you get with seal screws and may damage the ring.

  • Material: Stainless Steel
  • AISI 303, 1.4305 or AISI 316, 1.440

Cap Screws - Low Head

In stock In production

This range of Cap Screws are available in a choice of hexagonal drive or torx drive. Hexagonal drives are ideal for precision assembly and are ideally used where less surface area is available. Torx drives provide a positive-engaging, fast-locating technique for transmitting drive torque with less necessary downward pressure. These Cap Screws are available in a choice of two low head options: ultra low head and extra low head.

The first of these options helps reduce the screws overall head height space, which means no countersinking is required, unlike flat head screws. The second option has an extremely low profile, and does not need a countersunk location hole. These screws are suitable for machine and equipment applications, with minimal clearance.

Cap Screws are commonly used with Threaded Captive Washers (sold separately).

The screws are made from austenitic Stainless Steel that provides good resistance to corrosion and machinability. The material is a popular choice for construction and automotive applications.

  • Material: Stainless Steel
  • AISI 303, 1.4305
  • Tensile Strength: 350 N/mm² and 400 N/mm² (except for M2 - 220 N/mm²)

Captive Screw Retainer Flange

In stock In production

The captive screw retainer flange is an alternative to either tapping the panel or using a retainer washer. The retainer flange is fixed to the panel by swaging the head into a countersunk hole.

The captive screw is then simply threaded through the flange and is retained in the panel.

The flanges are made from either Stainless Steel which has good corrosion reistance or Aluminium, which has good thermal conductivity.

Captive Screws - Button Head

In stock In production

Captive Screws are fasteners designed to remain attached to the component they are securing, even when fully loosened, providing convenience, security and ease of use in a variety of applications. They are a popular choice for applications where screws need to be removed frequently or where safety is a concern, as these screws will stay firmly in place and will not loosen from the assembly.

This range of Captive Screws has a button head and a Torx drive. Torx drives provide a positive-engaging, fast-locating technique for transmitting drive torque with less necessary downward pressure. They are an excellent fitting option for panels with non-threaded holes when used in conjunction with our threaded captive washers. They are used to comply with Machinery Detective 2006/42/EC - typically to ISO 14583, which requires fasteners to stay attached to fixed guards or applications when they are removed.

The screws are made from Stainless Steel, which is corrosion resistant and slightly magnetic, and you can find a group of screws with a blackened finish and others without. These screws are commonly used in electronics, industrial machinery, cabinets, panels and medical devices. Please keep in mind that because these screws have a smaller shank diameter, they should not be tightened to the suggested torque for an identical screw with the same thread size.

Miniature Linear Rails

In stock In production

These Miniature Linear Rails are used to direct and support moving loads. It delivers smooth and accurate linear motion in small systems. They comprise a foundation rail, a sliding block, and a series of rolling parts. The base rail is attached to the machine frame, and the slide block slides along it. The rolling components, commonly ball bearings, sustain the weight and decrease friction between the sliding block and the base rail.

It can withstand dynamic loads while considering impact, vibration, and fatigue. As this is a precise system they must be mounted on accurately prepared surfaces.

The carriages come mounted on dummy blocks. Offer the carriage up to the rails and move it off the block and onto the rail to install it. They are often smaller and lighter than regular linear rails, making them excellent for applications requiring restricted space and weight, such as scientific applications, medical equipment, or semiconductor manufacturing.
