Cable Glands

 (17 product groups)

What are cable glands?

Cable glands are designed to attach and secure onto the ends of electrical cables. They protect against moisture, ingress and corrosion that can cause everlasting damage to the devices in which they are applied to. They are suitable for use in harsh environments such as outdoors and in addition to protection, cable glands provide strain relief, grounding and earthing. Cable glands or cord grips as they are often called, are used on all types of power, data, automation and telecommunication cables.

What are the different types of cable glands and how do they work?

They work by combining a central enclosure or body whereby cables can pass through. In terms of types, our range features various types of cable gland and you can choose yours based on gland form, thread size and lengths. Our straight cable glands are available in forms Advanced EMC, EMC, easy fix, high performance and standard. A diverse range of thread sizes are on offer too with NPT, M12 to M63, and PG7 though to PG48 dependant on your requirements. All are manufactured from nickel plated brass and offered in a large choice of colours. Nylon straight cable glands also make up our range. They are ideal for use in electronic cabinets providing strain relief and protection from movement during application.

Other types of cable glands and accessories in our range

Included alongside our range of cable glands are brass and nylon reducers – designed to provide reduction of threaded or clearance holes to smaller thread sizes. Cable gland locknutswasherscable gland inserts and covers also make up this diverse range of cable gland accessories.

These bushing also act as a secure anchor and help insulate the cable assembly. They are suitable for double, flat and round cables, and for mounting in round and anti-rotational holes.

Quick and easy to install. Simply position the bushing on the cable and press the ends of the bushing together with an installation tool (sold separately), then push into the hole.
