Ball transfer units, also known as conveyor balls, help to move objects quickly and smoothly in an extensive range of applications. Also a great alternative to a castor, these components are the ideal solution for smooth and precise movements. They are often used in assembly line applications, feeding machines, and sheet steel handling to name a few.
Our range is manufactured from steel and features various types of ball transfer units including heavy-duty, low-profile and spring-loaded.
Euro Ball Transfers are ideal for applications such as; Cargo and baggage handling, assembly lines, machine loading, sliding door systems & machine tables. Euro transfer units have special toughened steel bearing cup, with a dirt exit hole and woolen felt the seal. Attached using Essentra range of fixing clips.
Heavy Duty Ball Transfers have a high load capacity & are built to provide a long working life. They incorporate a dust seal and dirt exit hole for maximum efficiency and smooth running.
Hevi-Load Ball Transfers are designed and manufactured to precise standards. We offer a range of ball sizes that offer load capacity from 35KG to 1000KG. All Hevi-Load units are anti-corrosive and have a black coated finish.
Essentra's range of Low-Profile Ball Transfers has a flange fixing and a dirt exit hole. They are lubricated, so no need for further attention. They are available in carbon steel, nylon & stainless-steel load bearings.
Large load-bearing ball, which sits upon many small balls encapsulated in a hemispherical cup. Typical applications of these Medium Duty Ball Transfers are; Cargo and Baggage handling, assembly lines, machine loading, sliding door systems & machine tables. They have a large support area, greater stability & a drilled hole fixing.
Mini Ball Transfers are suitable for applications such as; measuring equipment, guides for small linear motion (e.g. photocopier slides), transfer material in clean rooms & miniature mechanisms. They all have a stainless steel screw thread system and can be supplied as a flat top or angled top.
Shears, presses, and molding machines are just a few of the many applications where open loaded ball transfers can be used. A press, for example, may have spring-loaded ball units set in the platen to facilitate the on and off loading ball units set in the platen to facilitate the on and off loading of the workpiece. When the press operates the springs compress and the ball units sink below the surface-leaving the workpiece on a firm base. When pressure is released, the ball units rise to allow the ball to roll, enabling the workpiece to be removed easily.
