Cage Nuts can be applied to square holes, and are commonly found on mounting rails of equipment racks. They offer ideal protection for equipment from stripped threads, and provide handy mounting of server rack equipment.
The combination of a square hole and cage nut is used within rack systems, as this allows for a choice of nut and bolt sizes to be used. If threads are damaged, the metal nut can be easily repleased, as the sheet metal is too thin to tap or thread.
Our Cage Nut range comprises of Steel Cage Nuts that are natural in appearance. A great tool-free option available in M5, M6 and M8 thread sizes.
Cam Lock Nuts are a commonly used connecting element, which is used most often in furniture assemblies. The main function of the Cam Lock is to create a secure joint between two connecting pieces of furniture, that is stable. They are used in combination with a screw and place in a wooden panel or laminated board, for example.
Our Cam Lock Nut range is made from Zinc Alloy in a choice of finishes, including; Nickel Plating, Zamak, Collinox Light Plating, as well as unfinished options. The nut features a crossed driver types.
These nuts can be inserted into pre-drilled holes and tapped into place with a hammer. They are self-locking to prevent rotation during hand or automatic assembly.
A Cross Dowel Nut, also known as a Barrel Nut, is a specialist nut that is commonly used in aerospace and ready-to-assemble furniture applications.
Cross Dowel Nuts and Bolts are used to bolt thin sheet metal parts to bigger components that are often billet or forged. Barrel Nuts are designed for use with Joint Connector Bolts, where a right angle connection is needed.
Our M6 Cross Dowels are supplied in a Zinc Alloy material for a cost-effective solution, whereas the Cross Dowel M8 Nuts are supplied in Steel, for additional strength. The M8 Barrel Nuts are therefore ideal where heavier applications are required - typically on boards of 22mm thickness upwards.
Cap Nuts are ideal for covering and protecting a bolt or screw that sits proud of your application
Dome Nuts, also known as Cap Nuts and Acorn Nuts, is a type of nut that has a domed end on one side. As such, a Dome Nut is ideal for covering and protecting a bolt or screw in a wide range of applications.
Made from Nylon 6/6, these Nylon Acorn Nuts not only protect the bold threads under the nut, but also provide a tidy appearance. A Cap Nut may also improve safey on some joints and applications. When an assembly needs a smooth finsih, or you wish to hide or disguise the fasteners and exposed threads of an application, Plastic Dome Nuts are the ideal solution.
Furniture Mount T-Nuts are ideal for use with Essentra's range of adjustable feet, tilt glides castors and locking bolts. They are easy to assemble, simply insert into a pre-drilled hole and tap into place with a hammer. They are self-locking to prevent rotation during hand or automatic assembly
Joint Connector Nuts, are a joint connector made from zinc plated steel that offers supreme protection against oxidation. The steel connector nut have a hex drive that is suitable for an M5 Allen Key - making then quick and simple to install.
Joint Connector Nuts and Bolts are commonly used in combination to connect and join together component parts, such as wooden assemblies, including flat packed furniture or timber framing.
A Flange Nut is a type of nut that has a wide flange on one side, which acts as an integrated washer. The washer element helps to evenly distribute the pressure of the nut over the application being secured, thus mitigating the likelihood of damage or the chance of loosening, as a result of an uneven surface.
Our metal nuts offer includes a Flange Metal Lock Nut made from Mild Steel. The Steel Flange Nut has a Zinc finish, and features a notched base for broad support. These flange nuts are sure to limit loosening in an array of applications.
Nyloc Nuts are an economical locking nut that are an ideal choice for applications effected by vibration or movement, which can cause the nut assembly to come loose or undo all-together. Our Nyloc Nut range is available Mild Steel with a Zinc Plating.
Mild Steel (or Automat Steel) is often used in applications where a high mechanical strength is needed. It is a suitable alternative to Brass, when conductivity is not a critical element. The Zinc plating provides a professional finish that's RoHS compliant.
