Cable Bushings

 (5 product groups)

What is a cable bushing?

Cable bushings, often called wire bushings, are designed to protect both wires and the machines and surfaces that they pass through, insulating openings for the wires to pass through, to eliminate any damage that may be caused. In addition to protection, cable bushings prevent damage to machinery by keeping wires separate from one another as well as potential short circuits.

Types of cable bushings

Snap fit bushings – they protect wires, cables and tubing from sharp edges of sheet metal holes.
Strain relief bushings – including snub bushings, all of our cable strain relief bushings are designed for effortless installation to insulate, secure and protect wires from rough edges and pulling and twisting of wires.
Universal bushings – are designed to absorb shock and vibration.

Also available in our range are the open/close type of universal bushing. They feature a split design that allows the bushing to be assembled into holes that may already contain bundles. Other types include snub bushings, cord bushings, and bushing installation tools. Our range features plastic cable bushings, nylon and rubber bushings.

Learn more about our range of bushings in our Guide to Different Types of Cable Bushings over at our Knowledge Centre.

Strain Relief Bushings

In stock In production

Strain Relief Bushings help protect electronic products by absorbing the force of pull, push and twist that may be exerted on a flexible power cord. The bushing securely protects wires and cables at the point of entry.

These bushing also act as a secure anchor and help insulate the cable assembly. They are suitable for double, flat and round cables, and for mounting in round and anti-rotational holes.

Quick and easy to install. Simply position the bushing on the cable and press the ends of the bushing together with an installation tool (sold separately), then push into the hole.

Snub Bushings

In stock In production

Snub Bushings open to accept cables, wires and tubing. Once installed into a panel hole, the bushing firmly closes.

The durable material provides insulation and slight strain relief, while helping to protect the housed wires and cables from raw edges.

Optical Fibres Relief Boot

In stock In production

Optical Fibre Relief Boots protect wires and fibre cables from rough panel hole edges during installation and use. Very easy to install - no tools are needed.

These boots provide added protection to 900 micron fibre, while routing cables and wires through a hole. They also limit the angle of the fibre cable, which can help reduce signal loss. This is a huge time and cost-saving.
