Cap nuts are used to cover exposed threaded stubs, rods or bolts with a dome shaped cap to provide safety and a finished look. They are offered with or without an added molded in locking thread that require added torque for a more secure assembly.
Nylon Grommet Nuts
Nylon Grommet Nuts provide a low-cost positive connection to thin gauge materials like sheet metal or PCB's, as an alternative to using a Standard Nut. They snap-in place and when a metal screw is inserted; the locking fingers expand to secure the assembly in place. The nylon grommet head provides electrical and thermal insulation and corrosion resistance, and creates a vibration-resistant connection.
Plastic Jam Nuts
Jam Nuts, also know as Thin Hex Nuts, are a low-profile type of nut. Typically they are half as tall as a standard nut. It is commonly used as a type of locknut, where it is 'jammed' up against a standard nut to lock the two in place or where a standard nut will not fit. These light-weight nylon versions offer a vibration-, chemical- and corrosion-resistant option to metal variants.
Plastic Wing Nuts
Wing Nuts have two large 'wings', one on each side to allow them to be easily tightened and loosened by hand without tools. Typically used where disassembly is frequently required or where interchangeable parts are used.
Push-On Metric Kwik Nut
The metric Kwik Nut is designed to be easily pushed down onto a thread to the desired length, then turned 180 degrees to lock into place. To be removed, it must be unscrewed with a wrench. Made of black nylon, the parts are light-weight and corrosion-resistant.
