A lift-off flag hinge is a type of hinge that is designed to allow a door or gate to be easily removed if necessary. The hinge consists of two parts, a base plate with a pair of mounting screws and a flag plate with a pin and spring. When the pin is engaged, the door or gate can be lifted off the base plate without having to remove any screws.
