Plastic washers are used for a variety of applications such as providing a watertight seal, minimizing vibrations, standing up to high electrical requirements, and evenly distributing the load or force of a bolt or screw. One of the most common uses of plastic washers is in electrical and mechanical applications where insulation and resistance to melting, corrosion, and chemicals are required.
Additionally, plastic washers are often used in applications where non-metallic washers are needed to reduce noise and shock or prevent leaks and damage to surfaces.
The specific type of plastic washer will depend on the application's requirements, such as strength, insulation, corrosion resistance, heat or chemical resistance, or aesthetics. Choose from washers such as nylon washers, PVC washers and polyamide washers.

Flat Washers for screws made from a variety of plastics. Also known as plain washers, these plastic washers are among the most commonly used. The flat washer helps evenly distribute the load of a fastener, such as a nut, whilst helping to reduce heat and friction during the process of tightening.
Our wide range features a vast array of sizes, with large plastic washers that are suitable for a number of metric threads. We also offer a choice of materials, including a core offering of nylon flat washers. The range is made from Nylon 6/6, with a flame resistance of UL94 V2, these nylon washers are resistant to corrosion and most chemicals.
Other plastic washers for sale include a clear Polycarbonate (PC) washer that offers high transparency. Also featured is a selection of hard plastic washers like Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK) plastic washers, which provide excellent mechanical and chemical resistance. They are UL94 V0 rated and have a light brown appearance. Perhaps our Polypropylene (PP) flat washer is your washer of choice? Natural in appearance, this washer has good chemical and moisture resistance. We also stock a range of black plastic washers made from Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), which have moisture and abrasion resistance properties.
Retaining Washers, also known as Retention Washers or Anti-Loss Washers, are primarily used to hold screws and bolts in place during assembly and have a design that grips the outside of screw or bolt shank. They also provide insulation. cushioning and spacing. They help insulate fastening assemblies from moisture and electricity.
This retainer washer range includes options with internal and external teeth with a tapered design. The washer easily slides on to the screw (or bolt) and is retained by the screw once assembled. Self retaining washers cold form and fully enter the pitch of the screw to provide improved sealing.
These plastic retaining washers allow for preliminary mounting of the screw (or bolt) before securing with a nut. They are ideal when pre-assembly of the screw and washer is required. They also help reduce assembly time and cost.
The range includes material options that provide corrosion, abrasion and chemical resistance.
