Straight sleeve bearings, also known as plain bearings or cylindrical bearings, are a type of bearing that consist of a simple cylindrical shaft and a corresponding inner bore in a housing. These bearings facilitate smooth and low-friction motion between two surfaces by allowing the shaft to rotate within the bore.
Flanged Sleeve Bearings, commonly known as sleeve bearings, plastic flanged bushings or flanged plain bearings, offer high performance and mechanical stability in a host of applications. They help reduce vibration and noise using a sliding motion, that absorbs friction between moving parts.
Our range features high performance plastic flanged sleeve bearings made from black or natural Polyamide 6.6, with Carbon Fibre and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) compound. These PTFE sleeve bearings have very low friction and good heat discharge. Friction coefficient 0.11 (statistical).
Also featured are a selection of nylon bearings flanged that are available in yellow, black or natural.
