Cable glands are designed to attach and secure onto the ends of electrical cables. They protect against moisture, ingress and corrosion that can cause everlasting damage to the devices in which they are applied to. They are suitable for use in harsh environments such as outdoors and in addition to protection, cable glands provide strain relief, grounding and earthing. Cable glands or cord grips as they are often called, are used on all types of power, data, automation and telecommunication cables. They work by combining a central enclosure or body whereby cables can pass through. In terms of types, our range features cable glands in a variety of gland form, thread size and lengths. Our straight cable glands are available in forms Advanced EMC, EMC, easy fix, high performance and standard. A diverse range of thread sizes are on offer too with NPT, M12 to M63, and PG7 though to PG48 dependant on your requirements. All are manufactured from nickel plated brass and offered in a large choice of colours. Nylon straight cable glands also make up our range. Stocked in various gland forms and standards, like our brass selection, choose from various thread sizes too. They are ideal for use in electronic cabinets providing strain relief and protection from movement during application. Included alongside our range of cable glands are brass and nylon reducers – designed to provide reduction of threaded or clearance holes to smaller thread sizes. Cable Gland Covers are ideal for blanking unused holes in an enclosure. They provide a secure covering and are simple to install and remove. They can be used with our range of Nylon Locknuts and Brass Locknuts that are available to buy separetely.
These cable gland inserts are designed to fit inside a metric cable gland. They are available with a various number of holes that allow several cables to be led through it simultaneously. They provide excellent watertight protection for each wire. There is no need for a gland for each wire which reduces the space that is needed.
