What are nuts used for?

Nuts are famously used alongside fasteners fixings and bolts to securely attach items into place. We stock a large selection of Nuts suitable for multiple applications.

Standard Hex Nuts - Plastic

A six-sided fastener with an internally threaded hole, usually used in conjunction with a bolt or screw. Can be fastened in place with tools such as spanners or ratchets.Our Plastic Hex Nuts are regularly purchased with Retaining Washers.

Wall Plugs

Wall Plugs are used with screws as a fixing solution for a range of applications in both the commercial and domestic building industry, including for a range of home improvement and do-it-yourself (DIY) projects such as, the hanging of framed pictures, shelves and other wall mounted displays.

These cost-effective plugs are an easy to use fixing with a simple, push-fit design that are typically used for dry lining. They are able to support light weights and are ideally used with self-drilling, piercing and self-tapping screws.

To install a wall plug you will require the use of several tools, including; a drill, a hammer and a screwdriver. Wall plugs cannot be screwed directly into a wall or plasterboard, but instead inserted into a pre-drilled hole. To removed a wall plug, simply use a pair of pliers.

Wing & Fly Nuts - Plastic Fly Nuts

Fly Nuts are a type of Wing Nut, which are sometimes known as Finger Nuts. This is because the Fly Nut, like Wing Nuts, has two thumb tabs (or wings) on either side that provide extra grip during assembly. This allows for tool-free installation and removal, which is also quick and easy.

Our Fly Nut range is made from Nylon 6/6, and is available in a Natural appearance or in White RAL 9010. Two variations of these nuts are available; the first features wings that are aligned with nuts body length, and the others wings exceed the length of the body.

Wing & Fly Nuts - Plastic Wing Nuts

Wing Nuts, also known as Wingnut or a Butterfly Nut, is a type of nut; which similarly to Fly Nuts, has two thumb tabs (or wings) on either side. This means the wing nut can be fastened or removed by hand, with no requirement for tools. The tabs offer extra grip, making this process easy and quick.

Our wingnuts comprise of Plastic Wing Nuts made from Nylon 6/6 that are natural in appearance.

The Plastic Wing Nut range is available in various thread sizes, including; M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10 nd M12.
