Conical Compression Springs

In stock - Delivery conditions may apply, visit our FAQs In production

Conical Compression Springs, also known as Tapered Springs, are a cone compression spring where the coil diameter decreases from one end of the spring to the other. This allows the conical spring to compress to an almost solid height.

Our tapered compression springs are made from stainless steel type 302, with a standard finish passivated to ASTM A937. These spring conical's have a right-hand direction of helix, with squared ends rather than grounded.

Use this cone compression spring in applications that need lower height of solids, and where more lateral stability is required - for instance when a regular compression spring buckles or bends. Typically used in applications such as automotive, aerospace, and consumer goods.

Disc Springs

Belleville Washer Springs, also known as Disc Springs, are commonly used in various applications that require a compact, high-load, and reliable spring solution. The discs' conical shape allows for more load distribution and deflection, improving spring characteristics. This design offers optimal performance by properly handling both static and dynamic loads.

Additionally, they help prevent the loosening of the component and are good in applications with constant vibration. Due to their small size, they can stack multiple springs on top of each other. Typical industries include automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, and machinery.

Gas Springs - Adjustable Force

In stock - Delivery conditions may apply, visit our FAQs In production

These Gas Springs with Adjustable Force are a form of gas spring that allows the user to alter the force exerted by the gas spring after it has been installed. This is accomplished by varying the pressure of the gas inside the spring. When employed, theoretical forces are frequently discovered to be wrong because factors such as hinge friction and apparent speed of action influence computations. It can be modified to match individual preferences and adjusted while in use, saving you both time and effort.

When the gas springs are delivered, they are charged to their maximum force. It is simple to install and remove with the included equipment, and gas may be progressively released through the valve at the end of the tube to provide the force required for your application. Once confirmed, we can measure the force and offer fixed force gas springs to your specifications. Used in various industries, including automobile, furniture, medical equipment, and industrial machinery.

Gas Springs - Fixed Force

In stock - Delivery conditions may apply, visit our FAQs In production

Fixed Force Gas Springs, also are also known as a Forced Spring Gas Strut or a Gas Spring, are self-contained and maintenance free. Gas pressure internal to the strut provides a push or pull force depending on configuration, and additionally has a dampening circuit that controls the motion speed in one or both directions.

Gas Springs are safe to use with easy positional control. They are best suited for use on applications such as access panels, lids, bonnets and hatch covers.

Locking Gas Springs

In stock - Delivery conditions may apply, visit our FAQs In production

Our range of Locking Gas Springs include Security (Safety) Locking Gas Struts, and Blocklift Locking Gas Struts. These springs are ideal for applications where the motion control adjustments require comfort and security, even when locked in position. They are commonly used in the medical field, laboratories, the automotive industry, as well as for furniture and industrial equipment when opening, closing, tilting or damping.

Security springs feature a shroud. They eliminate the need for separate safety rods in critical lift-assist operations. When extended fully, they positively lock – this protects the operator from risk of injury in the event of overload or misuse. The shroud should be actively pressed in order to release the lock and ensure safe operation. They provide a self-contained, maintenance-free offering and are supplied in pairs. The rod is manufactured from steel and the fittings are made from polyamide and steel.

Blocklift springs perform just like conventional gas struts, but they also include a special internal locking valve, which allows it to be locked in any position. This locking mechanism only allows the strut to move whilst the release pin, located on the end of the piston rod, is depressed. Typical applications for Blocklift include; height and angle adjustment of seats on aircraft, buses, trains and other specialist transport. They also provide controlled adjustment for hospital beds, physiotherapy tables and for wheelchairs, plus height risers on desks. Available in Carbon and Stainless Steel. Offers single-handed operation.

  • Safe and easy to use
  • Maintenance free
  • Self-contained unit.

Loop-End Wire Extension Springs

In stock - Delivery conditions may apply, visit our FAQs In production

These Loop-end wire extension springs are a type of extension spring that has a loop at one end. The loop is normally made by winding the spring wire around itself and crimping it in place. It is intended to store and release energy while producing resistance and tension.

Its ends enable easy attachment and secure connection to other components or structures. They are rated for 10 amps at 600 volts and have finger-safe screw connectors. They meet the NEMA 4, 4x, 12, 13, and IP65 specifications when installed. They are oil and water light and are extensively used in industrial machinery, automotive suspensions, and garage doors, among other applications.

Straight Compression Springs

In stock - Delivery conditions may apply, visit our FAQs In production

Compression Springs, sometimes called Coil Springs, are the most common style of spring and have a wide range of general uses. The springs are open-coil helical springs wound or constructed to resist compression along an axis of wind. When a load is placed on the wire compression spring, it is shorted, it then pushes against the load and tries to revert back to its original length. A Compression Spring is ideal for any application where a pushing or compressing force is required. Compression springs can either be placed over a rod or fitted inside a hole. Closed-end compression springs feature flat ends that offer a stable spring.

Our Wire Compression Spring range includes a Carbon Steel - music wire option. The music wire is not recommended for applications where temperature exceeds 121C. Also included is a Stainless Steel AISI 302 compression spring. This option is not recommended for applications where temperatures exceed +260C. The mechanical spring is slightly magnetic due to cold working during manufacturing.

Wire Die Springs are essential components used in a variety of applications where high force, durability, and reliability are crucial. These springs are designed to withstand heavy loads and provide consistent pressure, making them ideal for applications that require precise and controlled movement. With their unique characteristics and numerous benefits, Wire Die Springs are widely used in industries such as automotive, manufacturing, and engineering.

One of the main characteristics of Wire Die Springs is their exceptional strength and durability. These springs are made from high-quality alloy steel wire, which offers excellent resistance to wear, corrosion, and fatigue. The wire's carefully designed shape and size allow it to absorb and distribute force evenly, ensuring consistent pressure over a long period. This characteristic makes Wire Die Springs suitable for heavy-duty applications that require repetitive and prolonged use.
