This range of Captive Screws feature a cheese head with a hexagonal drive. Hexagonal drives are ideal for precision assembly and are ideally used where less surface area is available.
They are an ideal fitting solution for panels with non-threaded holes. They are used to comply with the Machinery Detective 2006/42/EC - generally to ISO 1207. Captive Screws are commonly used with Threaded Captive Washers (sold separately).
These screws are made from Stainless Steel that provides good resistance to corrosion and machinability. The material is a popular choice for construction and automotive applications.
Please Note: These screws have a smaller shank diameter and should not be tightened to the recommended torque for an equivalent screw of the displayed thread size.
Captive Screws are secure joint fasteners designed to remain attached to the component they are installed in, even when fully loosened, providing convenience, security and ease of use in a variety of applications. They are a popular choice for applications where screws need to be removed frequently or where safety is a concern, as these screws will stay firmly in place and will not loosen from the assembly. These screws are commonly used in electronics, industrial machinery, cabinets, panels and medical devices.
