Hexagon steel nuts give a solid grip while preventing loosening due to vibration or motion. They are simple to tighten and relax with a normal wrench or pliers. They are used with steel or stainless steel lead screws for low rotational speeds, manual control, clamping or locking actions, and dead weight reception.
Due to its material, it is used in applications that need high strength and durability but require lubrication to prevent the nut seizing with the screw.
These are widely utilised in a variety of industrial applications, including in automotive, aerospace, and medical equipment. Available as standard right-hand thread hexagon steel nuts as well as left-hand threaded.
Please note: Steel to steel contact surfaces are inappropriate for motorised motion.
