Cable Grommets

 (15 products)

What is a cable grommet?

A cable grommet, sometimes referred to as edging, or a wiring grommet is a circular tube or ring that is commonly inserted into a thin material like metal, wood, or plastic to reinforce a hole. They are used in electrical installations when wires need to pass through a panel or when edges need to be smoothed. Cable grommets also help to minimize factors that can cause damage to cables and wires. By choosing to use grommets, you can eliminate risks such as sharp edging, mechanical stress, and chemical and environmental influences.

Benefits of using cable grommets

Using cable grommets can help protect cables and wires, provide protection and strain relief, cover sharp edges, make installation easier, and offer specific solutions for different needs. They also tend to be weather-resistant and less affected by the negative effects of UV. They enable the routing of pre-terminated cables through cable entry frames and split cable glands and can be used for multiple cables at the same time, making installation faster and easier.
