Essentra Fire Sleeve is fabricated from a dense E-glass fiberglass and a thick coating of self-extinguishing, high-temperature silicone rubber. The range is engineered to protect hoses, cables and wire harnesses from damage due to exposure to extreme heat, fire, and molten splash. Fire sleeve also provides a high degree of insulation value, protecting hot or cold or cryogenic lines, pipes and tubing from heat or cold loss, saving energy and providing abrasion resistance. Working temperature range: -50ºC ~ +500ºC. Instantaneous temperature: 1150ºC. Molten splash: 2200ºF / 1205ºC for periods up to 15 minutes and short excursions to 3000ºF / 1650ºC. Flammability: self-extinguishing. Typically used to protect hydraulic hoses, pneumatic lines, electrical cables, control wiring, welding cable, electrical arc furnace cables, etc.
