De borgflens voor onverliesbare schroeven is een alternatief voor het tappen op het paneel of het gebruik van een borgring. De borgflens wordt aan het paneel bevestigd door de kop in een verzonken gat te slaan.
De onverliesbare schroef wordt dan gewoon doorheen de flens geschroefd en wordt vastgehouden in het paneel.
De flenzen zijn gemaakt van RVS, dat goed bestand is tegen corrosie, of van aluminium, dat een goed warmtegeleidingsvermogen heeft.
