Important information regarding your account with Essentra Components

Essentra Components to implement new business systems

To support our drive to deliver a hassle-free customer service we are upgrading/implementing some new business systems. This will mean some updates to your account details and information that you will receive with your orders.

As part of our commitment to investing into better serving our customers and driving continuous process improvement internally, we are pleased to announce that at the end of March 2021, Essentra Components Spain will launch these new systems and associated processes.

What changes can you expect, as Essentra Components customers, following this launch?

New customer account numbers:

  • You will be given a new customer account number in the weeks leading up to the launch of our new internal business systems. Your new customer account number will be sent via an email from Essentra Components.
  • Your new customer account number will be 10 digits long and act as the unique identifier for your account.
  • Good news – you can use either your existing account number or new customer account number when ordering online and placing orders by email or phone. If you forget or lose one, don’t worry, we will always keep track of both.

New product part numbers:

  • All product part numbers will be updated, using a new numbering system.
  • To make it easier for you, you’ll be able to order, search online and enquire about our products using both the existing part numbers and new part numbers.

To be clear, product part numbers will be named using the following conventions:

  • The existing part numbers will now be called the ‘Manufacturer Part Number’.
  • The new part numbers we are introducing will be called the ‘Essentra Part Number’.

In the below image you can see an example of how products part numbers will be displayed on the website in the future. The ‘Manufacturer Part Number’ and the ‘Essentra Part Number’ (highlighted in the red boxes below) will both displayed on the page after we launch our new internal systems, other references to products will follow the same pattern for consistency.

Certain documentation will look different and hold more information:

  • Documentation such as invoices, delivery notes, and quotes, to name a few, will now look different with updated branding.
  • After launch, these documents will start showing both the Manufacturer Part Number and Essentra Part Numbers and quote your new customer account number.

Using the website:

  • Our websites will be updated to integrate with our new systems and data - this means you will be able to search for products using both the Manufacturer and Essentra part numbers.
  • You’ll also be able to log into your customer account with both your existing and new customer account number.

Frequently asked questions:

As part of the new internal business systems we are launching, there is an opportunity to reassess the way we structure our customer numbers. We are implementing a new, more simplified numbering system, that means even more security and better linking between all our internal business systems.
