These spacers have a threaded male end that is mounted securely using a hex nut. The top end has a releasable snap-fit fixing that has a low profile.

PCB Support Pillars - Non Locking/Two Prong/Self Threading Male

These spacers have a unique self-threading bottom fixing. The threaded hole that they go into acts as a die and threads the bottom end when screwed in. They can be used in either a #4 or M3 threaded hole. They are easily installed by hand with minimal force. The top fix is removable and has a low profile.
