These expansion rivets can be set 'blind' without the need for access to the back of the panel. Set by pulling the mandrel head into the rivet body, expanding the rivet body and causing it to flare against the reverse side. When sufficient force is applied, the mandrel will snap at its break point. Installed with a pop rivet installation tool (not currently offered by Essentra). Particularly good for soft materials.
Mini Snap Rivets
Mini Snap Rivets snap together easily by hand pressure to combine a set thickness. They are sold separately as the male and female version, where the male version determines the maximum panel thickness it can connect.
Plastic Blind Rivets
Plastic Blind Rivets, also known as Clinch Rivets, work with a large range of panel thickness. They are easy to install by inserting the U-shaped body into the hole and tapping the T-shaped head with a hammer until flush.
Push-In Rivets - Arrow Clip
Arrow Clips easily push into holes to fasten thin gauge material or light-weight components. Designed in either natural or black, they provide a light-weight and corrosion-resistant solution.
Push-In Rivets - Countersunk
Countersunk design for flush surface. Tamper-resistant design. Accommodates countersunk hole specification DIN ISO 7721. Available in black or white. Easily installed by hand.
Push-In Rivets - Double-ended Fir Tree
Allows two panels to be connected from the center so that no fastener head is visible. More durable than adhesive.
Push-In Rivets - Drive Fasteners
These drive fasteners are a multi-purpose, front-loaded fastener. They have a hollow body which increases their flexibility for ease of insertion and removal. Can be used as a decorative hole plug. Easily inserted by hand. Available in both UL94 V-2 and UL94 V-0 rated materials.
Push-In Rivets - Folding Leg
Pushing the pin into the rivet body causes the legs to expand and grip the material. The legs fold out to .73 inches wide. Once installed, the rivet cannot be removed from the outside of the box. Good for use with cardboard or other porous material. Available in black and natural colors.
Push-In Rivets - Heat Sink
Fasten a heat sink to a processor chip on a PCB. They have an integrated spring that provides continuous pressure to the heat sink until the thermal adhesive cures. The HSR-2 has a cross molded in allowing it to be installed by using a Phillips head screwdriver.
Push-In Rivets - Key Hole Clip
These fasteners have a uniquely-shaped key-hole interior that allows the part to collapse more completely for easy assembly with finger pressure. The part's tapered point helps guide it into the panel. Available for a range of hole diameters and panel thicknesses.
Push-In Rivets - Push-In Fasteners
These Push-in Fasteners provide an inexpensive, easy solution to join materials together where the overall thickness is up to 1.51 inches. The legs provide compression and expansion to lock the rivet into a pre-punched hole and are offered in a large range of sizes. They may also be used as a hole plug or as simple push-in bumper.
Push-In Rivets - Snap-Lock Pins
Commonly used to fix connectors to printed circuit boards. Easily installed by hand. Four different styles in a UL94 V-2 rated Nylon 6/6.
Push-in Rivets - Fir Tree
These Fir Tree or Christmas Tree Rivets have a ribbed design that ensures a fast and easy installation while securely holding into various materials such as wood, metal, foam, rubber and plastic. When pushed into a hole, the flexible ribs deflect then spring back to lock securely in place. Available in over 100 sizes and styles for different hole diameters and panel thicknesses.
Ratchet Post & Pin Rivets
The male polypropylene clip is ratcheted into the LDPE female washer to hold surfaces together. They are ideal for fastening corrugated panels. Pack contains both the male and female parts together.
Ratcheting fasteners feature interlocking teeth that allow them to lock together quickly to provide a strong bond. Each part acts as either a male or female when combining. Their larger head diameters allow them to also be used to bond softer materials.
Snap-Together Rivets - Male/Female Push
Snap Rivets that snap together easily by hand pressure with low profiles on each side of the part. Each pack contains both the male and female parts together.
