Anti-Vibration Mounts & Buffers

 (6 product groups)

What are anti-vibration buffers and what are they used for?

Anti-vibration buffers are known for their ability to prevent internal vibrations and their shock absorbing qualities provide enhanced progressive absorption. Occasionally they can be used as damping feet preventing surface vibrations, helping to protect equipment from damage. Anti-vibration buffers are commonly used in applications that include pump applications, agriculture and general industrial machinery.

Anti Vibration Mounts - uses and applications

Sandwich mounts consist of a rubber section that is sandwiched between two plates of metal. These mountings are stocked with stud fixings and can be loaded directly in compression or shear, or if required, a combination of both. Many names are given to sandwich mounts such as rectangular mounts. Applications include generator sets, machinery, engine mountings and heavy plant machinery. KPR Damping Mounts are flange mounted, and are designed to take vertical loads applied in both shear and compression, to provide maximum isolation given by vibrating equipment and machinery. They are suitable for many types of applications and are corrosion protected to cope with hostile environments.

Common applications that require the use of KPR damping mounts are static and mobile generator sets, marine engines and gearboxes, compressors and pumps to name a few.

Anti-Vibration Cylinders

In stock In production

These Cylinders are designed to dampen shocks, and absorb and dissipate vibrations, reducing the impact on surrounding equipment or structures.

By effectively dampening vibrations, anti-vibration cylinders help improve equipment performance, reliability, and lifespan. Furthermore, the dampening action of these cylinders helps to minimise the noise created by vibrations, resulting in a calmer and more comfortable working environment.

They should never be mounted in tension but in even load and should only be utilised in axial or radial directions. They are often used in machinery, compressors, air conditioning units, and light engineering equipment.
