PCB Spacers or PCB standoffs as they are commonly known, are designed to mount a printed circuit board (PCB) in PCB assemblies, such as computers and are essential in securing boards tightly to the chosen device.
The main difference between a PCB standoff and a spacer is that a standoff is threaded on both ends while a spacer is typically unthreaded with an inside clearance hole. A standoff is used to create space between a printed circuit board and another surface, while a spacer is used to create space between two objects.
Both PCB standoffs and spacers can be made from various materials such as plastic, metal or nylon, and come in different shapes and sizes to fit various application requirements.
To give you an idea of the breadth of our range, we stock the following – threaded spacers, nylon PCB spacers, plastic PCB standoffs, PCB standoff pillars and many more. Mounting type is a key element to consider too so we stock mounting spacers with various mounting options such as non-threaded, reverse locking, and double-sided and of course, choosing from mounting types A and B is taken care of too.
The materials and sizes in our selection vary, to ensure we have the right spacers for your projects including plastic spacers, nylon spacers and many more.
We have put together A Guide to PCB Spacers and A Guide to PCB Standoffs over on our Knowledge Centre because our range is quite large and so there are many types and styles to consider when ensuring the correct standoffs and spacers for your applications.
These Female to Female Standoffs are designed to be installed by hand and do not require assembly equipment. The round metric standoffs are suitable for a wide range of applications and the threaded spacer will allow easy assembly.

Adhesive Base Supports come with a double sided adhesive tape with a release tab for quick installation. It locks onto the board but is releasable with a pinch. The adhesive element of the product has a shelf life of approximately 1 Year from date of shipping; when stored in the unopened original packaging, stored at room temperature and away from sunlight.
These Male to Female Standoffs are designed to be installed by hand and do not require assembly equipment. The round metric standoffs are suitable for a wide range of applications and the threaded spacer will allow easy assembly.
These collar spacers are a two piece application; the pin and the retainer. They were designed to capture the PC board. The combination of the mating parts forms a completely enclosed nylon spacer. The use of a binding head type screw is recommended.

Coved spacers are designed for attaching parts to rods, tubes, or curved contours. They fit a variety of tube diameters from 3/4" to 1-1/8". They have inside diameters from .218" to .375" to fit a variety of screw sizes. Available for standard round head screws or 90 Deg, Flat and Oval head screws. They come in a variety of spacer lengths.
Edge Locking Supports come with a double sided adhesive tape with a release tab for quick installation. It locks onto the board but is releasable with a pinch.
These Female to Female Standoffs are designed to be installed by hand and do not require assembly equipment. The hex standoffs are suitable for a wide range of applications and are ideal for use when high mechanical strength is required and provide sturdy, insulated spacing for high power electronic applications. They are made of nylon with brass inserts and are rated UL94 V-2.
Male To Female Standoffs come with a double sided adhesive tape with a release tab for quick installation. It locks onto the board but is releasable with a pinch.
These Male Standoffs are designed to be installed by hand and do not require assembly equipment. The hex standoffs are suitable for a wide range of applications and are ideal for use when high mechanical strength is required and provide sturdy, insulated spacing for high power electronic applications. They are made of nylon with brass inserts and are rated UL94 V-2.
Male To Male Standoffs come with a double sided adhesive tape with a release tab for quick installation. It locks onto the board but is releasable with a pinch.
These Female to Female Standoffs are designed to be installed by hand and do not require assembly equipment. The hex standoffs are suitable for a wide range of applications and the threaded spacer will allow easy assembly. Available in several thread sizes and spacer lengths.
The Non threaded spacers are designed to be installed by hand and do not require assembly equipment. They are suitable for a wide range of applications.
These are female standoffs that have a through hole. A self-tapping screw is used to thread the plastic which gives it a strong hold. Available for several different screw sizes in many spacer lengths.
These are Corner/Edge locking supports. They can be mounted to either the corner or the edge of a PCB requiring no holes or slots on the board. They are mounted on the bottom with a #6 self-tapping screw for a strong hold.
These Male Standoffs are designed to be installed by hand and do not require assembly equipment. The round standoffs are suitable for a wide range of applications and are ideal for use when high mechanical strength is required and provide sturdy, insulated spacing for high power electronic applications. They are made of nylon with brass inserts and are rated UL94 V-2.
Edge Locking Supports provide a secure hold on the side of the PCB allowing for easy removal. Screw mount supports are very secure and reliable. These mount with a self-tapping screw.
These Male / Female Standoffs are designed to be installed by hand and do not require assembly equipment. The round standoffs are suitable for a wide range of applications and are ideal for use when high mechanical strength is required and provide sturdy, insulated spacing for high power electronic applications. They are made of nylon with brass inserts and are rated UL94 V-2.
Edge Locking Supports provide a secure hold on the side of the PCB and the snap in fitting and locating nose are ideal for quick assembly. The PCB is easily removed for service.
