Essentra Components to Launch High-Tech Plug at Automechanika 2017
07 Jun 2017
Essentra Components, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of essential components, has today announced that it will unveil its new high-tech Fluid Absorption Plug at this year’s Automechanika, between 6-8 June, in Birmingham.
This innovation provides a universal solution to a long-standing problem faced by engine manufacturers - oil residue left in engines.
Leftover residue in engines during transit - following initial parts testing - can disrupt performance and lead to the contamination of other essential machinery, resulting in damage and additional costs for manufacturers. The novel fluid absorption component has been designed, developed and manufactured in house by thecompany’s leading specialists at Essentra Components’ centre of excellence in Kidlington, UK.
Driven by a strong focus on R&D, this latest solutionhas been optimised specifically for fluid handling.
It provides a safe and clean environment for operators, ensuring engines remain grease free and easy to assemble. The product’s sturdy plastic peak also allows for quick and easy installation and removal, saving time and costs.
In addition to the Fluid Absorption Plug, this year’s Automechanika will also see Essentra Components showcase its broad range of standard catalogue products, from general protection caps and plugs, fixings and fasteners through to bespoke custom solutions utilising the company’s global manufacturing capabilities.
Scott Fawcett, Managing Director of Essentra Components, said:
“After such a successful show last year, we’re really pleased to be returning to Automechanika with a larger stand and new products. The show provides us with a great platform to showcase some of our latest innovations, including our new high-tech Fluid Absorption Plug.
Since last year’s show, we have enhanced our capabilities across several key areas. We’ve employed more engineers and invested in training, facilities and equipment, including the addition of ten new injection moulding machines at our Kidlington site. This increase in investment is also reflected in our growing customer base. In automotive alone, we’ve added six multinational tier one customers and further deepened our relationships with existing clients.”
Essentra Components will be exhibiting at Automechanika from 6—8 June. The stand is located at 6E80.
